Michael D. Murphy, MDMichael D. Murphy, M.D. was born January 25, 1961 at Mobile General Hospital in Mobile, AL., Dr. Murphy lived in the home of his maternal grandmother in Pritchard, AL until age 7. He grew up in St. Albans, NY with his mother and 2 sisters. He graduated from Bayside High School in Bayside, NY and went on to major in Biology at Davidson College in Davidson, NC. He then returned to NYC and did premed course work at CUNY York College. He graduated from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 1990. Trained in Anesthesiology at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals and Internal Medicine(Winston-Salem, NC) at East Carolina School of Medicine (Greenville, NC), he is now a hospitalist in Tennessee. Wigger is Michaels second project with Omowale Akintunde as executive producer.
